It's almost that time of year again... As the sun begins to shine in the capital, we begin planning for the biggest  UK festival season yet. For those who love Hip Hop, you've probably heard of Boom Bap- and if you haven't, listen up, as one of the best festivals celebrating Hip Hop culture is coming this summer; and it's right on our front door. Well, Suffolk to be exact. Check out our 5 unmissable acts at the festival this year.

Boom Bap began in 2012, as an 800-attendee festival hosted behind a pub in Peterborough. From humble beginnings, Boom Bap grew from a niche UK hip hop meet-up to an internationally-celebrated event, with an annual stage held at Croatia's Outlook festival.

Over the last few years, the lovely team behind Boom Bap have organised gigs and tours for hundreds of hip hop acts, hosting the likes of MF Doom, Ghostface Killah, Flako, RA the Rugged Man, DJ Premier, Mr Thing and Lord Finesse at some of UK’s most prestigious venues, including London’s Jazz Café, Glasgow’s O2 and Norwich’s UEA.

Fast forward to 2015- from the 5-7th June Boom Bap is bringing us Hip-Hop heads one of their best lineups yet, with a wide range of acts on the Hip-Hop spectrum, ranging from Future Bass artist DJ Complexion to left-field New York Hip-Hop group Ratking.

Check out our 5 unmissable acts this year (in no particular order), and be sure to grab your ticket soon as early bird & VIP options have already sold out!

A member of the Odd-Future collective and based out of Los Angeles, Earl Sweatshirt gained success from his first release, a self entitled mixtape which dropped before his 18th birthday.

This year, he dropped his second studio album, "I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside: An Album by Earl Sweatshirt" and it recieved great reviews across the board, having been described as both "fluid" and "streamlined" by Pitchfork in their review. We're excited to see what Earl will bring to the 2,000 strong crowd this summer. Familiarise yourself with his latest track "Grief" below:

Commonly referred to as the "King of Grime", Skepta is often an act that needs little introduction. The North London emcee began back in 2006 as one of the founding members of Boy Better Know, the infamous grime label and collective.

Following his recent co-signs from Hip Hop giants Kanye West & Drake, Skepta holds his position as the pioneer of Grime and brings it to a new audience. Check out his recent release "Shutdown" below.

We're lucky enough to already have spent some time with the wonderful Hip Hop group Age of Luna (check out our interview here). Despite their young age, the group are leading the new wave of soulful inspired Hip Hop, and are already making huge waves.

Founded in the summer of 2011, the group have quickly rose to success following their release of "Six Feet Deep". Catching these guys at Boom Bap this year is a steal, as we have no doubt their performance will be deemed legendary in the years to come.

This London based selector shot to recognition just a little over a year ago. Hannah Faith represents the new school of Hip-Hop heads, with funk, soul, electronic and traditional boom bap influences in her mixes.

Having signed to US label Soulection last year, Faith saw her mixes skyrocket in soundcloud plays and has performed across the globe. You can check out her exclusive mix for COZY below, along with her in-depth interview here.
