Whilst previous collections have been inspired by childhood icons and retro toys, Clara Martin still returns back to nostalgia and youth as inspiration for Autumn/Winter 2015 and explores one particular aspect of childhood; boy scouts.
Traditionally being an exercise to help discipline, train and act as a symbol of unity amongst young boys, Clara Martin has flipped the essence of scouting and used it to represent culture in 2015 which echoes within young men in social media; whilst individually we all dress differently, together we are all connected and sometimes, united together whether it be through a Twitter "clique" or an art collective.
The concept driven collection embodies key pieces that fans of Clara Martin’s knitwear will love as well as silk organza, suede and patent leather jackets and classic sweatshirt pullovers; there is truly something for everyone in this collection.
The look book styled by Way Perry, with shoes by Anthony Miles and a short fashion film directed by Rhys Frampton; along with the embroidery created at the London Embroidery Studio- made this collection a real collaborative effort, commented Martin; making it all the more special.
Our favourite pieces included the grey, suede bomber jacket and scout badge printed trousers; two pieces that are sure to add a unique touch to any basic outfit.
